Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, is infused in every aspect of our Temple community. As Jews we are committed to healing, whether it be our Temple world, our surrounding communities, or supporting and lobbying for national and international social and political issues. Our social action committee, school and youth group are a few examples of how Congregation Shalom is active and invested in repairing our world. Here are a few of the projects that we are planning in the near future:

Caring yarns and the Caring Committee support our members in times of crisis and sometimes even reach out to the community at large. Mitzvah day is a well organized event that leads us to action and serves as a reminder to us all about just how much there is to be done. Many of our youth participate in the Gift of Israel program which encourges them to visit Israel as a participant in one of dozens of educational programs.
