Hannaford Gift Card Program

Turn your shoppinginto cash

If you shop at Hannaford, then helping Congregation Shalom has never been easier. Sign up for our gift card program and 5% of all your purchases will be donated by Hannaford to the Temple.

Gift cards to Hannaford will be available for purchase in denominations of $25 $50 and $100. You can sign up on a weekly, bi-monthly or monthly basis to receive gift cards in your choice of denomination. Cards will be held at the Temple for pickup or mailed to you at regular intervals. No cards will be disbursed without prepayment. Email giftcards@congregationshalom.org or call Gail Brother at 781-275-8955 to set up your account.

If you only shop at Hannaford occasionally, you are also welcome to buy gift cards on an as-needed basis. With a Hannaford located just minutes from the Temple, even if you don't shop there, you may want to give them a try.

Your friends and family that shop at Hannaford can also participate in this program. We will be happy to set up non-members for regular purchase of gift cards.

Consider giving a Hannaford gift card as a present; perhaps for that someone who is hard to buy for, as a thank you gift or employee incentive. Want to make a food donation - consider a gift card.

Gift cards have no expiration date, but will become deactivated if not used within two years. If a card becomes deactivated, they will be replaced by Hannaford.

The Hannaford Gift Card Program will available on Mitzvah Day. Please e-mail giftcards@congregationshalom.org to either set up a recurring account or purchase individual gift cards. Whether you are setting up a recurring account or buying individual cards, please e-mail orders for pick up on Mitzvah Day by May 23rd.

During the Religious School year, cards will be available on Wednesdays and Sundays at the Temple. If pickup is a problem, cards can be mailed.

If you have any questions regarding this program, please send an e-mail to the above mentioned address or call Gail Brother at 781-275-8955.

Fundraising Project 2007

Fundraising Project for 2009

Our first and unexpected Fundraiser of the year, the reverse gold party, was a huge success both for the Temple and the ladies who brought in their unused gold who were thrilled by the checks they received at the end of the evening. We are doing it again. The Reverse Gold Party is October 29th from 7 – 9 at the Temple. Home baked goodies to indulge in while you wait your turn with our expert. Gold is at an all-time high so why not get rid of those broken chains, too small bracelets and old earrings (How did I ever wear those?)

Our next fundraiser is the On-line Auction which runs from Nov. 1st to Dec. 31st. I am going to assume, and I hate that word, that because of the economy, many vendors who donated year after year, have not donated this year. If you know of anyone who has a skill, whether it be cooking, teaching, art, services, anything that someone might offer – we (the committee) need you to ask those members for a donation of that skill for the auction. Theatre tickets, restaurants, supermarkets, games, purses, and so much more! Join the fun! eBay has nothing on us!

Just as the auction gets under way, we have the Craft Fair on November 15th.. With new vendors joining us each week, there is so much to look at and shop for whether it be Chanukah, birthdays, anniversaries Christmas or “just because” gifts. So, come and shop our vendors, buy raffle tickets, and have a good time!

We are looking for midwinter fundraisers so if anyone has an idea, a thought, please run it by me – it couldn’t be more absurd than some we have heard already. If it makes sense, we’ll do it.

In the Spring, we will have another Red Sox raffle.. Before that, we will raffle off an Ipod or something like that at the Westford Apple Blossom Fair with tickets going for $1.00 ea. Yes, all members will be offered tickets too.

As always, we are looking for members to join our Fundraising efforts so we can our Synagogue a better place to be.
