Fundraising Project for 2009
Our first and unexpected Fundraiser of the year, the reverse gold party, was a huge success both for the Temple and the ladies who brought in their unused gold who were thrilled by the checks they received at the end of the evening. We are doing it again. The Reverse Gold Party is October 29th from 7 – 9 at the Temple. Home baked goodies to indulge in while you wait your turn with our expert. Gold is at an all-time high so why not get rid of those broken chains, too small bracelets and old earrings (How did I ever wear those?)
Our next fundraiser is the On-line Auction which runs from Nov. 1st to Dec. 31st. I am going to assume, and I hate that word, that because of the economy, many vendors who donated year after year, have not donated this year. If you know of anyone who has a skill, whether it be cooking, teaching, art, services, anything that someone might offer – we (the committee) need you to ask those members for a donation of that skill for the auction. Theatre tickets, restaurants, supermarkets, games, purses, and so much more! Join the fun! eBay has nothing on us!
Just as the auction gets under way, we have the Craft Fair on November 15th.. With new vendors joining us each week, there is so much to look at and shop for whether it be Chanukah, birthdays, anniversaries Christmas or “just because” gifts. So, come and shop our vendors, buy raffle tickets, and have a good time!
We are looking for midwinter fundraisers so if anyone has an idea, a thought, please run it by me – it couldn’t be more absurd than some we have heard already. If it makes sense, we’ll do it.
In the Spring, we will have another Red Sox raffle.. Before that, we will raffle off an Ipod or something like that at the Westford Apple Blossom Fair with tickets going for $1.00 ea. Yes, all members will be offered tickets too.
As always, we are looking for members to join our Fundraising efforts so we can our Synagogue a better place to be.
