Welcome to the Temple Brotherhood! We're primarily a social organization, a group of men who enjoy each other's company as we do "guy things." We embrace a variety of personalities, upbringings, and interests. Some of us are more spiritual or observant, while others weren't brought up Jewish, but are now members of Jewish families. You'll always feel welcome. We truly enjoy our differences and diversity.
We're at different stages of life and family who enjoy socializing together thru activities like beer making, hiking the White Mountains, fishing, poker playing, attending sports events, riding motorcycles, and a wide range of events. We even offer culinary diversity by preparing (and devouring) a wide variety of ethnic meals and beverages. It seems like we’ve always got something cooking, literally and figuratively!
We also share camaraderie as we do things for the Temple including the annual picnic, setting up the Sukkah, and more.
For guys who aren’t looking for a new expression of religion in their lives, Brotherhood offers many comfortable ways to connect with our Temple community, make friends, and have a lot of fun. For guys who are, we embody both a unique and essential part of our Temple's religious community.
If, like so many of us, you’re so busy that there seems to just be "no time," come try one event. We promise it will be worth the effort! You're bound to find a few new friends you’ll have something in common with!.
Sign up for our e-mail updates so we can keep you informed about what's going on – with no pressure, but always with an open invitation. Simply send your name and e-mail address to brotherhood@congregationshalom.org. Better yet, come take us for a test drive.
